median income of 4runner owners
I'm starting to wonder if I bought the 4runner as a vehicle that is too expensive or too low or just right for my income relative to other 4runner owners. It got me wondering after filling out the toyota survey I got in the email after buying my SR5 - one of the questions asked me what was my household income. Judging from the posts in this forum, I'm under the impression that a significant percentage of 4runner owners are older(?), and seem to be in the upper range of U.S. household income like Gangnam style Here's the median income of owners of various vehicles. if you find another website post it here. thought it was interesting:

Who cares?
If you like it and can afford it, fine. We also have no way of knowing if the people that replied to those various surveys are even being truthful.
I bought my '97 brand new. I still have it all these years later, because I haven't yet found a reason to sell it. I have some other vehicles that fill certain needs or desires too. I never once worried if I fit into some questionable demographic of specific model vehicle ownership.
My advice is buy whatever trips your trigger, and live within your means.

I had to take a side job moderating here to afford an oil change.

In between jobs WHEN I got mine. Paid $12k for an '03 with 100k miles. I needed it, my truck died. I had to reach into my IRA to do it. Didn't want to but I needed a vehicle that would last and last and last and .. well you get it lol
I do feel like I'm in better company (Toyota Owners) now than what I was when I was in my Dakota lol. It's like driving that BMW compared to driving that Pinto (my first car btw)

I'm betting a lot of those people in those surveys weren't putting kids through college....

Doesn't look like the OP is specifying what he's even comparing. So... I guess it's all years? Are you talking about someone who can afford a $5000 SAS 1st gen on tons and 40's, or a $40k+ 5th gen with party mode? I'm guessing the latter. At least we don't drive Prius's's'es's's'ss's.
But for the record, I make $1.2 gerbillion dollars a month, and I spend it all at the strip club, and give cash prizes to the audience attending every Oprah and Dr. Phil episode.

You know the story:
Spent all my money on women, booze and cars.
The rest of it I wasted.
