Certainly better than filling with diesel. You will probably get some misfires and feel like crap, but it should be okay.

If you can't siphon it out or drain your fuel tank, I would drive it a ton and top off with regular gas as much as possible.

More than likely the check engine is from misfiring or a fuel sensor or something. The Traction control light is most likely disabled simply because there's a CEL.

The cruise control not working is happening only because either one of those is on currently. Domino effect! Should all self resolve. My guess is if you go and get the code read and cleared it will all be fine.

Once you've run the e85 out, I'd recommend a fuel system cleaner/additive

Disconnect the return fuel line and divert it into a bucket. If you can distinguish it from the supply line, and if its easy to disconnect somewhere I don't know.

1.Drain to half tank of E85
2 Fill up rest of tank with 93 octane
3.Head to dragstrip

My 2001 lost VSC and TRAC because of an evap code. It's designed that way. The E85 may be messing with your O2 sensors because it burns differently, and the truck may be turning off traction control in response. I imagine cruise is also tied in to that system, but not sure.

Yes definitely so. I'd drain it or pump it out myself. You will run lean with E-85. That's why you are getting the missfires most likely.

On a related note, my dad was filling up with E15 for some reason the two months he was up here.

I didn't notice anything wrong with it...

I just asked him WTF and he mistook that it's labeled "86" for being a tier above the 85 trash gas.
