Tacoma soft front brake lines on 3rd gen 4runner?

My steel brake lines coming from caliper are severely corroded and the rubber hose going to frame needs to replaced too.

I heard of people using Tacoma soft lines and bypassing the steel caliper line, all the way up to frame (one continuous line)

Does anyone have part numbers on the front Tacoma soft lines?

I have 99 4runner with tundra brake upgrade.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Had to go out and try it out of curiosity. It should work in theory by the look of it. The Tacoma banjo bolt screws into the threads on the 4runner caliper without issues and clamps down far enough as well.

You will obviously need more than the line itself. You'll also need the banjo bolts, copper washers for them and the brackets that attach the brake lines to the spindles.

You'll want to make sure that the surface on the caliper where it bolts up is clean and free of imperfections. It may need to be sanded smooth. Remember that it wasn't intended to be used as a mating surface for a seal. Also be careful routing the line as the Tacoma calipers have the line come in at a different angle and there wont be any provision to locate the line on the calipers.

Part numbers I'd use would be centric 15044064 and 155044065. About 10$ ea on rockauto. Could be a good time to upgrade to stainless lines too if you wanted too. They're not terribly expensive.

I'm no good at finding the OEM numbers for the other specific little parts. A Toyota specific wrecking yard is where I'd head but a good parts guy could probably get you everything new.
