Japanese vehicle celebrates in a Veterans Day parade!

Hey all,
Long time listener....and long time absent. Sorry....

So I voluntered to help my off road club celebrate Veterans Day today by being one of many particpants for a local small town parade in Sacramento County. I guess it easily took me 12 hours with all the crafty preparation and then about an hour to attach everything to Ruffian. I could of spent more time there this morning, but an hour & a half was all that I got before the parade line started moving.
Yes, I was the ONLY Toyota in a line of Jeeps, and I'm happy to say I got many applauses and I was proud to bring up the rear with my American Flag vehicle. Since I'm the only present day made Toyota in the club, I was allowed. The other older 4Runner owners didn't want to bring their vehicles since they were more than likely made over seas during the wars when we fought Japan. lol---their joke---not mine---and yeah I still got chit for my Japanese vehicle, but it's all good. One of the parade directors asked me "Since when do they allow a Toyota in a off road club?" I told him "Since the Jeepers figured it's safe to have at least one vehicle that can drive out to the trail, off road the trail, and drive off the trail back home without a weld breaking!"
I'm a daughter of a Air Force Vietnam Veteran, step-daughter of a Air Force Veteran, a granddaughter of military men, a Grand Niece several times over for WWII Veterans including the one Great Uncle who fought at the Battle of the Bulge as well as some other amazing feats whilst over there fighting. And the most proud fact, for me as a female, a granddaughter of a honest to gosh Rosie the Riveter! So only a few pics to share. Enjoy!

Good to see you back! I thought you had given up on us. She looks very proud.
I also have some background, a father who was a WW2 Marine and 2 uncles who were in the Army Air Force, one flew P38 lightning and I was a scout dog handler in Vietnam.
