I debated for many days trying to find ANY way to save the A/C, because some of my favorite places to explore can be quite hot and humid, but there's just no space for it without major reconstruction of the front end. With the engine moved back, I have less than 2 inches between the distributor and firewall, and a similar distance from the front pulley to the radiator. Bummer! Side-to-side, though, it's amazing how well the engine fits the space--it really does look like it could've been a factory option.
