I originally taped out just above the backup camera along the bottom line of the emblem, but when I peeled the tape off it peeled some of the dip off. I peeled it all off and started over. I masked just above the license plate, and just left the rest. There was a bit of overspray on the backup camera but it just rubs right off after it's dry so it was a non-issue. The underside of the emblem has a bit of overspray but no one really sees that part anyway. It turned out really great. I washed it for the first time this weekend (3 weeks post dip) and had no issues.
@Mark4runnar The plastidip is holding up really well. The only caveat is a couple weeks after I did the front I drove to NC. It was covered in bugs. I got one small ding in the fnt where I can see a tiny bit of chrome showing through. I believe I should be able to repair with a small brush. My wheels did get dinged up pretty good when I did some wheeling at the Cove in October, but I don't plan on keeping the wheels anyway (or just using them for winter), so we'll see. Antman said he had his wheels plastidipped for something like 2 years and it held up well. And I agree... too much chrome!
