Hey man! I am new to the site, I have a black 04 V6 Sport Edition. I don't know how I ended up here on your profile (thread after thread I guess) but your rig is EXACTLY what I am looking to do to mine! So tight. Would you mind giving me the details? I know I am going 2.5/1.5 Daystar level kit. Tires and Wheels is where I am stuck. what is your backspacing on the wheels? Would be eternally grateful for all the detailed numbers on your lift/tire/wheel set up!!

Thanks. I have the Daystar 2.5/1.5 leveling kit, which I love. I have had it on for a few years now and I haven't had any issues with it. I still looks as good as the day I put it on. Before I bought it, I spent many hours looking at the lift and tire central thread finding the right look. After I put it on I felt like the handling actually improved...less nose dive and lean in the corners. I probably spent even more time searching for the wheels and tires. The wheels are Level 8 Guardians 17" diameter and 8.5" wide with a -6mm offset. The wheels are also a hub centric fit with no adapters. I really like the wheels and the finish is holding up well. The tires are Goodyear Wranglers 265/70/17 E rated. They have a slight hum to them, but not bad. If you want any more info let me know. Somewhere I have some lift measurements if you want that detail.

Oh man you just made my day! Your response is just what I have been waiting for and trying to figure out. I am like you with searching all over these threads for the wheel/tires combo I want and trying to figure out and read if I want to go bigger with 275 or 285's with trimming, but yours literally how I picture mine so I will probably stick with your measurements and all. Can't tell you how much you helped me out! Thanks again!

I was tempted to go bigger as well. I was going to go 275's on 18's as I thought the 285's were going to be too big. I didn't want to affect the gearing and braking performance too much, so I went with this size, which was also cheaper. I had to do some minor trimming on the front corners with this setup. To the untrained eye it is not noticeable. I also removed the front mud flaps before I put the wheels on, just in case. I haven't bothered to try putting them back on. I think they might clear or need minor trimming on the inside edge.
