Yes its on a switch i wouldnt want that thing to turn on EVERY time we reverse haha it would be a bit overkill... so ya we use it primarily for backcountry night reversing or just general lighting at night when out in remote areas... or to blast those who are foolish enough to tailgate us =p jk
