Thank you. when I painted the parts i wet sanded all of them first so the surface was more willing to hold the paint better. I removed all the front chrome parts and painted them almost right when I purchased it so they have been on there for about 4 months now and I have not seen any lose of color or fading. The temp lately here has been in the high 90s and low 100s and she is in the direct sun all day long. I have however painted some parts on my tacoma and that thing is regularly off road and window deep in water/mud and other then a tree branch scratching it pretty good it seems to be holding up rather well. As for salt I can't say due to the fact that they don't use salt on the roads here its all rock and every time I'm on the dunes or beach I power wash it right away to avoid rust. Hope that helps some. Oh and if you have the same year and end up deciding to paint it even though lots of people on here say you have to remove the front bumper to take the chrome off trust me you don't lol surprisingly it's rather simple to remove all the chrome parts.
