I think it is neutral because the first impact was actually on the corner. I didn't expect the bull bar to be as good as the real bumper I had on my 1999 Tahoe, or as good as the Smittybuilt that I had on it (Smitty doesn't have one for the T4R or I would have bought it). I wanted some protection in case of a deer strike and a place for the lights.It is also a parking lot buffer like the GoRhino hitch step out back.
Yea I hear ya. I was considering one but heard bull bars and especially brush guards end up messing things up worse than if you had nothing but the stock bumper, and sometimes complicate things with insurance. Good luck with everything. Glad everyone is OK and damage is not too severe. Hopefully repairs don't take too long and your rental isn't a Kia Rio or something shittier.
I got rear-ended in the Tahoe and pushed into the car ahead. My insurance replaced the front bumper, bull bar, rear bumper and trailer hitch. Then they went after the other guy's insurance. I had to lay out the $500.00 deductable, but I got it back. New Jersey Manufacturer's Insurance is a pretty good company.
Did the air bags go off? I've seen a T4R after a mild fender bender and it looked like the most expensive part of the repair was going to be replacing the air bags.
