Nice work with the log. I had to do the same thing in Big Bear, CA where logs had fallen over the road. Consider getting a strap without steel hooks on it. That thing is dangerous.
Where is Hungry Valley? Is it in California?
Even though the log wasn't to heavy I was worried about the hooks. They could do some damage if they got loose. A hookless strap is a good idea. Hungry Valley is in Gorman, CA located off the 5 fwy about 45miles north of the end of the 405.
