Did it damage the piston? I know the head is shot but how is the lower end? We had the same thing happen in our shop. It was in a s-10. It was the distributor bolt that went all the way through the intake into the top of the piston. Sucks...
Yeah the crown of the piston was dinged up and the piston wall was scored. the car had like 200K on it. We don't rebuild engines in our shop, nor did we cause the damage so this went thru insurance/court with the other shop.
