Here I replaced the shunt, and soldered in the trimpot.
this is the small shunt resistor you need to remove, and replace with a trimpot resistor. I used a 5ohm trimpot, but you could use a 10ohm if want to.

Just did my LED upgrade and have the hyperflash. I will definitely do this! Way better solution than in line resistors. Thank you for taking the time to share this!
