This happened to me today and disconnecting the battery, removing the gas cap and tightening it back on then reconnect the batteries worked.

I live in Minneapolis MN and there aren't many places around here either. Unless you guys know of any offroading places around here. I have heard of a place around Duluth area but yet to take a trip up there and test my runner out.

Definitely will be nice if I could have done this work myself and saved some money in labor. I might tackle these types of work myself next time, I know I can handle it, might take me a while but I am sure I can get it done. I dropped off the truck on Thursday morning and went back to pick it...

Thanks for all the input, going to the dealership on Thursday to get final quote with all the items aha2988 mentioned and do the work. I will post pictures and my observations after...stand by.

I should have clarified that. The $600 is only for the timing belt. They said they don't change the water pump until it is leaking. It will be an additional $300 if I want to do that at the same time.

I registered on the Toyota owners site (www.toyota.com/Owners) and it pulled all the service records (Toyota dealership records) and there is no mention of the timing belt being changed. So now I am thinking about going to do the timing belt change at the local dealer. Price quote I got for that...

I have looked and there is no visible sticker. Called the dealer and they said they is no way of know without a sticker unless they open it up.
