Thanks for all the responses. A friend of mine was riding in my 4runner last week and noticed that i left the ac on when i turned off the engine and said that it is not good to do and i had never heard that before so, i thought i would ask.

Is there any harm in leaving the AC on when you shut the vehicle off? Does the AC clutch automatically release when the engine is turned off?

I have about 1,200 miles on them now and I am happy with there traction in wet and dry. If I have the windows down and the radio off I can hear the tires a little but, nothing annoying just a little reminder that I have some off road traction available when needed. :-)
