    Back in a Land Cruiser

It's been a while since I posted but I ran across this thread this evening and thought I'd update it. I've had the same trucks for a little while but I did pick up a 2015 TRD Pro 4Runner this year and I've been driving a Tundra for a while now. I bought the 4Runner to use as a DD but the miles...

    4 Runner pro...$68k

Our dealer in town, Rusty Wallace Toyota, has yet to mark one over sticker. I was getting my wife a new 2022 TRD Off Road that hadn't come in yet and it was sticker. I also asked about a Pro and he said whatever the sticker was, that would be the price. She wound up finding a 2015 Inferno Pro...

Towing experiences with your 5th Generation

The wife and I are taking a vacation down to Lake Lanier in Georgia so thought I would take her 5th Gen on a few test runs with my 21' Triton, I was thinking I could save some stops for fuel. Long story short, I think I'll be better off pulling it with the Tundra considering it pulls the boat...

    Back in a Land Cruiser

I've owned a bunch of 80's, one FJ60, and three 100 series and honestly they're all different with pros and cons. For a true off road machine, you can't beat a FZJ80 with lockers and a few mods like lift and tires. The ride is rougher, power is terrible, and MPG is terrible. I really wouldn't...

    Back in a Land Cruiser

I deleted the muffler on my 100, sounds pretty good but I'm going to put it back on this week. Seems I've lost some power and I think because of the lack of back pressure. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7za-e1iD-Y Took a ride last weekend over to Hurricane Creek in NC and came back through...

Thanks! I have a local guy that does fab work in the evenings and weekends and he does a great job. He did everything for what I would have to pay Slee for the rear bumper alone.

    Back in a Land Cruiser

Got the 100 series back this week from the fabricator, really happy with the results. Now I have to hook up the winch, CB, and lights. Headed out for a long trail ride this coming week in western North Carolina.

    First car ever!

This isn't the original car but this was my first car, same year and same color. 1973 Camaro with the sorry 350 / 255 HP ( first year of emissions ). I pulled the original engine and dropped in a freshly built 427 bog block coupled with a 400 turbo transmission with a Vega torque converter ...

    Shock question

My son bought a spacer lift for his 2004 4runner but the Pro Comp shocks wouldn't fit. I called 4wheel Parts and they said there's an issue with the pro comps. Anyways we put the stock shocks back on but they're squeaking like crazy and I'm sure they're original. Question is, can he use a...

Land Cruiser guy looking for a Trail, KDSS or not

Guys, first of all I want to thank you for all the help, I really appreciate it. Compared to most forums, this is by far one of the best, most would say use the search function and quit bothering us. So here's what I wound up doing today, I bought a really nice, one owner, babied since day...

Land Cruiser guy looking for a Trail, KDSS or not

Wow! I really appreciate all the replies, great information. After reading over these, I think non KDSS is what I'm looking for. I like being able to do things myself and sounds like lifting a KDSS maybe something for the professional. As far as locking front and rear, when I've owned fully...
