No, I didn't change to synthetic. I think cleaning up and finding the TRUE leaks is a good idea. It is easy for a dealership tech to recommend pulling the engine since he doesn't have to pay for it or worry about return customers. Thanks for the advice.

I almost made the same mistake. I replaced the plugs/wires on Sunday. I started to tear one of the wires out when I caught myself. I was lucky though. Someone had scribed the cylinder numbers on the coil packs. That, plus matching the lengths, helped me get the wires where they needed to go.
