and the internet in general, I would be lost. It is awesome how so many people are willing to share their experience and knowledge. I was spoiled with newer cars for several years and never had to worry about repairs. Nevermind I was spending a fortune on payments. Now that I have a used vehicle (PAID FOR!!!!), I want to take care of the maintenance, within reason.
I have limited experience on cars, so I have to search around for tips on how to do things. I was super pleased to find all kinds of information on my generation 4runner. Detailed write-ups with pics, advice on best parts to use, how to get the best performance, etc. I even found a thread that is 4 years old that had an example of a maintenance log that I will use.

Anyway, I just wanted to throw out some appreciation to all of you that share knowledge. Without you, noobs like me would be lost.
