For that. I'd stick with the Michelins. I've never had a problem with mine that I have on the Subaru or pick up. Went Duratraks on the runner cause they were highly recommended for what I wanted. They are really quiet in my opinion.

I have a bunch of family down in Bishop and they love the Owens valley. Glad you made the most of it. It's a great place to be.

Just an FYI. You don't have to remove the fan to change your belts. You can feed them around them fan. Just go slowly and do one blade at a time. It's way easier and faster than removing and reinstalling the fan Everytime.

If you don't know how long that rad has been in there I'd replace it. I got 100 miles from my house on my way to Seattle and blew mine. Really sucked especially since it's only $100 for the new rad and maybe $40 for Toyota red. Just peace of mind for me anyway.

It's possible they adjusted the timing through the years and didn't necessarily document it since it is the same engine. I know you can make big numbers with the right small adjustments and the right engines.

I thought about painting the corners of the housing black to match my darker flares, grille, and lower valances. But leaving the chrome as the rest of the rig is the desert dune color.
