This goes against the "running rich" thing.... but they are known to have problems in the wiring harness that goes to the fuel injectors. I believe the harness splits, from 1 to 2, then 2 to 4. On a 22re that I used to own, as a quick fix, I tied two of the cylinders in, upstream of the split...

I'm probably one of the only people who are actually going in this direction.... but what tire was original on a 1986 4Runner DLX? Mine says 225/75/15 in the door... but it has 235/75/15's on it. Since the speedometer is a touch off/shows that I'm going slower, I feel like it may have came out...
