they can fit properly....in order to change an 06 to an 05 you need the headlights, grill, pieces under the headlights, bumper, drls and fogs

yes there was a style change in 4th gen....2003 to 2005 or apparently 2006 1/2 which is the style you have and then 2006-2009 they changed the style to the picture on the right....put the DRLs in the headlights, made the headlight projectors and the fogs reflectors...you cant tell but the front...

ive owned two 4runners...2004 and now a 2006...and i put the same aftermarket radio in the 06 that was in the 04....now the silver dash trim fits perfectly in the 04 but now with the 06 theres space between the radio trim and the dash trim but everything is together fine....its like im missing...

i found mysterious boxes under my dash and appears to either be an audiovox alarm/remote start or just a remote start because one of the boxes has my valet key in it...very curious on how to work it???

if you are putting it in the main vacuum hose....you must put that back before you shut down or you will get a misfire code...i did and cleared it instantly
