Iirc the transmission isn't going to shift into over drive until it's warm. That's how they are designed. I had a problem with low power and low shift points no matter where the gas pedal was and I replaced the tps and it fixed the issue.

Check around for an exhaust leak, pretty common on the v6. Maybe a wheel bearing or rear end issues causing the vibrations when off the throttle.

Where are you located?

Dumb question, but did you make sure your serpentine belt want broken?

In having a very similar problem. Mechanic said it was a exhaust leak. However it seems like it doesn't want to Rev over 3k rmps. As son as it hits 3k it drops down. Any ideas?

Have you checked the FSM?
