Ok, the tick tick tick tick noise that I swear wasn't there when I first time I started the 4R returned. I don't know when, but I noticed it again today. Man, I swear though, it did sound quieter at first :)

a couple of observations so far: Right after changing the oil my engine did sound like it had less noise than before I changed it. A small 'tick tick tick" that I heard before seemed to have gone away. I don't have any smoking or leaking so far. One question I have though is how important is it...

Thanks for the replies. I picked up some Valvoline Synpower 5w-30 and a PureOne filter today. Im going to change the oil tomorrow. I hope I don't get the smoking issue :)

I just got it about 3 months ago. I bought it with 83K.

I have an 04 V6, and have always used dino, mostly Mobil Clean 5000. I just wonder if I should be concerned with anything being that I have 85k miles on her already. Has anyone here ever made the switch around 85K and had problems? (i.e. seal leakage etc.)
