PDFs of original TRD literature, part numbers, etc.

Over at 4runners.com, someone asked for info about the original TRD options that were available when vehicles were new. I'm the original owner of a '99 Highlander, and below is a link to a Dropbox folder of the scanned TRD literature that came with the 4Ruuner when purchased in August 1999. Dropbox

Do You Carry Weight in Your 4Runner to Smooth Out Ride?

This thread about added weight caught my attention not because of ride quality, but because of two episodes of FISHTAILING I had this past winter when roads were wet from rain. I've got a '99 Highlander, typically no load in back, no lift, 150K miles, original owner. Never had fishtailing until...

Right turn clunk help, please, for my sanity....

Regarding the OP's "clunk" sound, his issue reminded me of a post I saw in one of the Facebook 3rd gen Groups. Here's the link, which also contains quite a few comments which might be helpful. 页面未找到 | Facebook Here's the quote that caught my eye: "If you hear a slight clunk when rotating...

    Power Steering Fluid Flow Direction?

Thanks for the replies. Glad I asked the question, since I would have guessed wrong. (And it's not the first time the combined expertise on this forum has saved me from doing something stupid.)

    Power Steering Fluid Flow Direction?

About two years ago I replaced my radiator, plus added a transmission cooler and a Magnefine 3/8" Magnetic Inline Transmission/Power Steering Filter. I also flushed the power steering fluid using Timmy's excellent YouTube video as a guide. I've got a '99 SR5, auto trans. Since the Magnefine...

Spiker Engineering ULTIMATE Lift Hood Struts

Received the kit from Spiker the other day, spent this morning watching Timmy's video, getting parts installed and holes drilled. Right now, sitting here watching the window, waiting for Amazon to pull up with the rivet gun I ordered yesterday. Once I have that, should take a few minutes to wrap...

What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Got tired of looking at that decrepit terminal cover, so saved up 1146 pennies and added a "connector cover" (part # 82821-35020) to my Camelback order for a new radiator, t-stat, hoses and air filter. Got all the work done yesterday and today.

When I went to Facebook to check up on my grandsons, this just popped up as a suggested group I might be interested in: Toyota LBJ Failure Support Group Says it has 6.5K members. Have to ask to join. (Thanks to all the info and warnings here on T4R.org, I replaced my LBJs a few years ago, so...
