Mine did the same thing. The end caps on the frame are removable.

I put these on the rear for reverse lights and they easily outshine the rigid duallys I have on the front.

I have some the the trike pods. They are bright and seem to be good quality. The paint seems to fade some in the sun after a while but other than that I am very happy with them.

Since you are lifted and have spacers you shouldn't have any rubbing issues. Of course that also depends on the size tire you plan to run.

All of the mounting holes in the bumper are already oval shaped. I guess to allow an error tolerance. I got the bumper to mount using a come along and a sledge hammer. Only had to trim one hole about 1mm.

I have had rigid duallys on my truck for a couple of years now and they are great. But recently i bought some of the 6 led cubes from bean led (their version of rigid D2s). They are definitely brighter than the rigids at about half the cost. While rigid is better than most others, they are not...

I installed the bumper on my 97 this weekend but had some problems. The four mounts on the side of the frame were very difficult to line up enough to start the bolts. One never aligned properly and stripped out. Also the two on the front won't align. But even if they did the holes in the bumper...

I think there are some places offering skid plates in aluminum now. I also saw someone on 4runners.com making some with 1/8 inch steel instead of the standard 3/16.

A few years ago I had a guy offer me 10K for my runner. When I declined he asked if I would chain it to his F-150 for pink slips. No Thanks.
