I did get the fox setup installed at 2.5” in the front and used 1” lift springs in the back. It rides and looks great. will try to get measurements and some pics posted.

A little extra may not cause huge problems, but from my experience on another truck, even with stock springs, using the top setting made the ride way too rough because there was next to no downward travel left.

That is correct. The additional settings come into play when you are using the stock spring. If you have lift springs, I would leave the shocks on the lowest setting and let the springs do the lift.

I disagree. These trucks have too much body roll in stock form if you ask me. The 5100s make it much more stable and greatly improve cntrol and the ride in my opinion. I do agree, the higher you go, the more it cost and the more issues you may have, but 2” is definitely worth it for looks and ride.

Agreed, it can be a pain, but I put my off-road wheels and tires on Craigslist and sold them in 3 days for $650 with no Tpms. Fortunately There’s a ton of 4runners around my area.
