does anyone know where I can get a new clutch pedal bracket? I got it out today and I was going to weld it but I think Id rather get a new one because it will probably just break again

Figured it out after i replaced the clutch ... its just a cracked pedal bracket. It just made the pedal too low to disengage all the way. I havent fixed it yet but Im going to try to weld the crack and if that fails just buy a new one.

I wouldnt say its a waste of time... Im in an auto shop class and that is what my instructor said I should do. Its a learning experience for me anyway and those can't be the only causes of a clutch not disengaging completely. Couldn't it also be a worn pilot bearing or something?

I put it up on the rack today and looked at the slave really good and bled it. I cant find any leaks and It seems to extend properly, so I dont think that the problem is in the hydraulic system anymore. Tomorrow Im going to take the tranny out and get to the clutch. Is there any other minor...

Yeah I guess but Im happy with it. I have another question though... my dad bought it from his friend and he thought it was a 98. So I just ordered the slave and master cylinders for a 98 without looking at the vin number like an idiot. Will they still fit the 91 or do I have to reorder them?

I accidently ordered a 98 master and slave cylinder for my 91 4runner. Will the 98 parts be the same as the 91 ones or do I have to reorder them for a 91?

Oh and its a 91... I dont know why I said 98. Its in good shape for a 91 though its only got 150k on it.

nice mods man.. I got a 98 today too. Mine is basically stock though, but the previous owner put a spare tire latch on the back that looks sweet.

I got a 98 4runner today and the shifter slowly got harder to shift all day. Now I cant even shift into 1st or reverse. Does anybody know what this could be? I heard that it could be a bad slave cylinder but I thought someone on here might know. Also some more info, I can shift fine when the car...
