Having such a hard time pulling the trigger on a ‘19TRDOR. Just does not compare to our ‘05 V8 SE. The 4.0 is just a dog compared tho the V8. However the increase in space from 4th to 5th is incredible. I think.
WOW - I am aware of the Costco route - but I have NEVER heard of the AAA doing sales let alone trade-ins? Definitely something I will look into.
In your experience, 1.) does the AAA vehicle come from a local dealer 2.) what dealer do you have it serviced at?
Sorry, that is a bit confusing of a statement...
I NOW prefer a standard 2WD w/ a proper 4WD mechanical transfer (as found in the ORs). Just a more simple mechanical design, and since we like to keep our vehicles long-term, we are looking for longevity in a design.
Our 4G has gotten us...
Nope - did NOT make the purchase. Too little on our trade-in, we walked out. If they would have given us a $1000 more for our trade, it would have been a done deal.
How does the use of the sprint booster impact your warranty? Do you set it back to factory with every visit to the stealership??
For me, full time 4WD is not always a positive. More spinning parts all of the time can mean more to go wrong when it does, especially since we have kept our...
Interesting statements that DAC is on all T4R. I assume it is hidden within the CRAWL control. On the website, when comparing the SR5 to the OR, there is definite identification of the DAC on the SR5. We really like the XREAS until it came time to replace shocks/struts. When it failed, it...
Hi Everyone -
Long time member, frequently stalking but rarely posting.
We have resigned to the fact that we are ready to upgrade (?) from our 2005 T4R Sport Edition V8 to a current 5th Generation. We have our sights set on a T4R Off Road (coming in at just under $40,000 MSRP). However, as...
Good question that I failed to elaborate on - yes, the 5ths have 70-series. I only bought the wheels, so I mounted my existing 65-series along with the TPMS from the 2005 wheel. Therefore, I have 4 actively corroding 2005 Sport Edition wheels to unload.
Hey Everyone -
After over a year of local Craigslist searching, I finally found a replacement wheel for the 4R. I know I could have picked them up sooner had I used fleabay,- but I wanted to stay local to check out the wheels prior to purchasing. I would have been satisfied with any FJ or 5th...
I absolutely, guarantee if anyone has had their windshield replaced and the reveal molding fastener was removed/not replaced - you will get water on your front floors. If not, the each vertical side of the windshield would have to be filled with a toothpaste tubes worth of caulk.
I cannot...
Thanks Hokie - you just confirmed what I have spent the last two days chasing.
I have bilateral wet floors beneath my floor mats. My first inclination was a failed heater core. However, the telltale coolant feature(s) were not there. Just a musty smell and saturated carpet - water saturated...
Well, I finally did my lights using the 3M Kit, purchased for approx. $20 at Wally World.
I do not think I could be much happier with the results. Outstanding for the price.
I had a difficult time finding the product. I was searching the car care section - but here it was in the car repair...
I am shocked. It never occurred to me to sand/buff out the OEM lights. I feel like a fool.
A quick YouTube search shows plenty of ways. I was going to go the 1000/1500/2000 grit and wax route. Any other recommendations?
