My 5th Gen has LT275/70R17E General Grabber ATX tires (at 59 lbs each tire) that have a rim protector (kinda like that option) where as the Firestone Destination XT doesn't have rim protection. Also i'm worried about the tire side wall strength. Been to the San Juan's in Siliverton Colorado...

Tire pressures.....air them up for better mpg. Makes a difference. I have heavy E load tires and I went from 40 psi to 50 psi and picked up nearly one full mpg. (+1 mpg).
