Well, 1/2 drive with the black hardend socket type did the trick. With ease! Pretty quick after that. Just pulled the starter through the wheel well and about 20mins to replace parts and bolt back up. Starts like a champ now. Thanks everyone. Though this thread has probably been posted a...

Removing my starter to replace the contacts (click, click, click, start) but I cannot remove the lower bolt holding the starter. I'm going to use some PB blaster today but my question is, Can you fit a 14mm 1/2"drive socket on the bolt? Is there enough room for it? Ive been using my 3/8"...
