Ive run into this issue as well. ABS and Battery light would come on and off but everything was working fine so I thought nothing of it. Then my lows stopped working followed by the high beams. So I went to autozone to check my alternator and the battery was too low on juice to test the alt so...

Update: I took out the wire harness that runs along the side and out at the top today. I was planning on swapping the harness inside too but I noticed they were the same in the 98 and 99 hatch so I kept that and swapped the harness with the white plug. Doing this I was able to use the power...

The white plug is the only thing different. I thought I read on a different thread that the swap wouldn't work since the modules were different but I can't find it. If y'all say it works then Ill give it a shot. Thanks for the help!
