fan motor funny thing. my noise has stopped. Going to just let it run it's course before I fix it.

CLEAN I have alway's wet the compartment then spray with 50/50 solution of water and simple green. Let set a few minutes then come back with a paint brush and hit everything in sight then rinse off. Put aluminum foil on the things you don't want to get wet, like alternator, and go to town...

emblems this is going to be done on a 1996 4Runner, wonder if I will have any fade marks? If so, can this be buffed out?

removing emblems how do you remove the emblems??

fan motor does not seem to be a difficult job to remove, the whole motor cost $100 from the dealer, so I will probably just replace it while I have it out?

noise the a/c belt pulley is located under the hood and this noise is coming from under the dash inside the truck behind/below the glovebox.

hmm To tell you the truth I am not sure what it is? All I know is that it is coming from underneath the dash where the fan is located for the A/C and it is defenitly tied to the fan motor as it goes on and off when I turn on and off the A/C fan. Sounds like the bearing for the fan. Guess I...

I am getting pretty constant chirp, squeak out of the fan under the dash board. I think it's probably the bearing, anyone ever delt with this? If so, how hard is it to get to that part?

CLEAN cover you alternator and anything else you don't want to get wet with aluminum foil and go to town. I use simple green then get a old paint bruch and hit everything then wash off blow with compressed air and smile :)

I drive a 1996 Toyota 4Runner with 125000 miles. While driving slow and turn to the left I notice a poppin noise. It only happens once but every time I turn left. Sounds like it's coming from the left rear. U-Joint going bad?
