I'll be danged! I've had my 4runner for a month now. The steering was so ridiculously loose, I hated it. Took a 4hr trip & it felt like I had to pay super close attention and correct "the swaying". I too thought I could get pulled over for drunk driving. I also thought it would be totally unsafe...
That's exactly why I decided to buy the 2012 4Runner. The current Pathfinder is outdated and the new one is a crossover. Nissan lost me as a customer due to CUV on the way.
Does a roof rack or basket effect gas mileage? I have a Yakima rack and a Load Warrior sitting in the garage. Debating whether I am going to put it on. I wouldn’t think the rack itself would really effect MPG but the roof basket might. Thoughts?
I went to the site you provided for the Air Lift 1000. The site is not updated for the 2012 4Runner. I assume it’s the same as the 2010-2011 but wanted to make sure before I purchase these.
I have seen several pictures where the 2nd row of seat folds flat by lifting the bottom of the seats up and placing them forward against the front seats. Then, folding the back of the seats down. I’ve even seen this on the Toyota web site. Are you only able to do this if you don’t have a 3rd row...
I would sell my 2012 SR5 with Nav & Entune to one of you Canadians to save a few bucks. I really like the 4runner but not attached yet. I knew going in I would miss the V8 for towing but thought I would give it a chance. You can't really take a test drive for 2 hours on the interstate while your...
I have towed my boat to the launch ramp and back which is about a 15 minute drive. I thought it did fine except for a tiny bit of sag after I hooked it up. I thought the placement of the plugin was a bit far from the bumper but I just used an extension to reach it. I have yet to go on a trip to...
Fact – do a search on threads started by 4RunnerFishin and you will see one not three – this one. There is one for tcc11tcc which was the AirLift post.
Not going to argue with you. There are many forums to get info. After searching, I liked this one the best but I have no problem asking...
I changed my name after my initial post from tcc11tcc because that account was not working. I have one post on this forum under that name so not sure where you got 4. My first post addressed which was better Air Lift 1000 or Timbren. I believe I sent you a PM as well. I did reply to my last post...
I have done several searches and found bits and pieces (Air Lift 1000) but I want to make sure I know what I want to do before I got to the local 4WD shop and tell them what I want done.
I will be towing 3000-3500lbs (loaded) 18.8ft bass boat, one or two trips a year will be 5-10hr drives...
Another question- The last 2 SUVs I owned had a button for Tow Mode. If it was a really steep hill I would manually shift and climb usually in 3rd gear. I have been told not to tow in “D” on the highway so I suppose that means I would manually shift it to “4”. Is this correct? What gear do you...
