I was much more successful trying to separate the fusebox halves today and got the alternator fuse replaced in about 15 minutes. As soon as I hooked everything back up and connected the battery, she started right up! I was kind of disappointed to see how difficult the fuse box was to access...

Well I went out and checked again....sure enough, the 120 amp alternator fuse is quite obviously blown....I don't know if I somehow overlooked that initially or it occurred from something after the fact but I'm attempting to remove it now...total pita to work with this fuse box. Fingers crossed.

Good idea, thanks. The fact all the accessories work make me think it's something small, as opposed to a debilitating issue that would cut power the everything. From my research a separate control module handles the "body" stuff, which is why I figured spending $60 to replace the engine...
