    2021 Timing Belt/WP Cost for VVT-I V8

FYI The kicker here is the cam seals, its a VVTi which means you have to pull valve covers and REMOVE the cams. The VVTi cam seal is behind the cam actuator. That probably adds at least $1200 to this job. I'd question your dealer quote, indie guy is probably more accurate. Non VVTi its super...

    What service for a 250,000mile V6 4th Gen

At above 250k I’d look over or do the following stuff... -look over the suspension, check ball joints, tie rods ends, steering rack, control arm bushings, sway bar end links and bushings, wheel bearings for any play or noise. -Engine wise, look for oil leaks (valve cover gaskets, crank seal)...

Anyone drive their V6 4Runner in 4wd all of the time?

I believe its because the differential disconnect in the V6 front diff is too big to clear the oil pan on the V8... and Toyota didn't want to bother with different oil pan so they just made it full time 4WD

    Terrible ride rear suspension.

Have a 05 V8 4WD with 245k I’m an environmental consultant, I beat my truck to death, constant rough gravel roads littered with huge pot holes. The ride is spine breaking jarring.... I’m running 5100s, and Michelin’s. Front I’ve replaced LCA/UCA bushings and ball joints, sway bar, tie rods...

    A750F issues, ideas?

Have an 05 V8 4WD with the 5 speed. Truck has about 235k on it. Got the truck about 5k ago. Been maintained, previous owner did the trans flush or a drain and fill about every 60k. Trans is sometimes slow to shift, sometimes I get the shudder, and has delayed engagement if 5th gear. Did a...

    2UZ-FE V8 Bolt Identification

Did my timing belt two weeks ago... Those are 10mm, there's not a lot of 10's, mostly all the super important stuff are 12's and up. You missing bolts on the timing cover?

    2006 Sport misfire

Also just throwing out another thoughts and ideas... my injectors were actually leaking at where they seal into the fuel rail. Like actually dumping gas on/into the V of the engine. But if this isn't happening (going out on a whim here) maybe a bad fuel pressure regulator could cause the...

    2006 Sport misfire

Disconnect battery to clear the codes and see what it does. Injectors are pretty common problem on the 4.0. Theres a few threads on here about it. Just changed them all on my Tacoma due to similar symptoms. If you can, get them flow tested.. Edit... Just fully read your post on how much gas...

4.7L V8 Timing Belt Change Plus More

If you're going for the while you are in there mentality... At 180k I'd go ahead and replace the fan bracket and alternator brushes. Fan Bracket: AISIN FBT002 off of RockAuto works well Alternator Brushes: If you're still running your OEM Denso and the bearings are good, this will save you...

    P0304 & p0306 psa

i'm replying to back you up on this. Have an 05 Tacoma at 248k truck started and misfired and poured white out of the exhaust. It did this about once a week for 10,00 miles. Local dealer diagnosed it as a Head Gasket. I replaced cylinder #4 injector on a whim and its been happy, no more...

    Help with OEM coil ID

Forgot to note which coil goes on what side when installing 5100s.... It’s a 2005 V8 4WD. Have one with yellow/blue and one orange/blue pair markings. What’s goes where? Driver/Passenger side?

Swapping Sport seats into an SR5 - is this possible??? PLEASE ADVISE.

If you have a 06-09, buy seats from the 06-09 years. If you have a 03-05, buy seats from these years. Theres some wiring differences between the 2... otherwise you could be fine to bolt up and plug in whatever you want.

only one side of radiator getting hot

You want it to be cool... It's a radiator it cools your engine. Hot flows in the passenger side, it's cooled, cold goes out the drivers side.
