A750F issues, ideas?

Have an 05 V8 4WD with the 5 speed. Truck has about 235k on it. Got the truck about 5k ago.

Been maintained, previous owner did the trans flush or a drain and fill about every 60k.

Trans is sometimes slow to shift, sometimes I get the shudder, and has delayed engagement if 5th gear.
Did a drain and fill, checked the level the correct way, didn’t solve my problems.

Not really up for putting a new trans in, I can go buy one at a pull apart and put it in, just would like the try other things first....

Anyone running a Transgo Kit with positive results? People on Tacoma World seem to like them, just wanted to post up here.

Thoughts/ideas would be appreciated

I'd start with a total ATF fluid exchange using Toyota WS ATF. You didn't say what you or the previous owner used, so if it is some compatible fluid, I'd get rid of it right away. If that doesn't work, the transmission is probably done.

I would try and add a tube of Shudder Fixx to see if that helps the torque converter shudder, you could also have a shift solenoid/s going bad causing the 5th gear and other shifting issues.
