That metra kit looks solid. My biggest worry is dropping hundreds on a sweet new unit and you get tacky plastic trim to surround it. Triflin. That looks good.

I love the idea of keeping all the existing wiring / enclosure and the JBL amp if that's not a problem. The Rockford on AMZN is about $150, this Pioneer is currently $65 and sounds like it's a perfect drop in fit for 4Runner. May have to do this...

I agree. I feel like I'm jumping over my running boards getting in and out. I think they look solid on the Limited, especially when lit up and it sure helps get my mom in and out of the truck, the boards & all the handles inside. Here's a good pic of my boards.
