Just a reply back, I had my 98 LTD stuttering or felt like a slip, turned out to be a misfire either bad wire or plug, I had Bosch plugs and switched to NGK 2 Grd's and replaced the wires. Truck purrs like a kitten now. Plugs were $7.95 ea and wires were $59.95. Cdn $$$. Ed

Thanks to all that replied, the dealer has diagnosed a misfire at 80km/h and recommends plug and wire replacement. I have Bosch Platinum's with 38K and now do not recommend them. I have ordered NGK 2 ground electrode type. Will post a thread if all is well.

I'm going to the dealer tomorrow, to get an answer, what is the driving factor to replace plugs and wires. I noticed that the # 3 plug had a rusty color at the bottom of the ceramic and the plug cap looked overheated (brownish). I replaced the plug but stil get the stutter or slip.
