Actually I bit the bullet and got a wire tap clip after class and just stuck it to the red power wire that goes to my radio.

So I've done tons of looking around on this and ill break down my current scenario. I was installing my new to me amp and sub got all the wires routed, but when i got to the back of my kenwood stereo, I forgot that i had cut the remote on wire for what ever reason and only have a little nub so...

And ya know i looked back and decided its probably best to just get the ECU for a smoother swap now i just gotta wait for the snow to melt so i can get the donor out of its spot! Will post pic of the swap

Ive read your thread a few times just gotta figure out where i can find the engine wiring diagrams for the 97 and 02 thne i can set aside an afternoon of deciphering which wires ill be keeping and which ones to cap off

hmm honestly i think im going to look into repining the harness because if it has different connections ill need to do it for the transmission connections as well

So pretty much to get this job done im looking at a matter of repinning my full harness and a few other electrical quirks OR I could just swap the motor from the 97 into the 02 and avoid most of that

Amazing 02 I've had one for the last 2 years but school and life kept my from spending money on it but now im ready! Have you given any thought to a 5speed swap on this beautiful rig?
