That might be just a faulty switch, try and unplug the switch see if the light goes out...only way to find out, then go from there. (switch, connection, cable tension, rear brake sticky) Good luck on finding the oil leak :)

X2 You could be low on fluid and still have life on the pads and just needs the fluid to bring it up to fill line and light should go out, but keep an eye out on the pads or just change them.:) Also like you say check the brake pads, when they get worn down the fluid goes down to compensate...
