Same situation here, I pulled the skid plate but only because I dropped so many bolts and tools down there! Ran out of daylight so I'll try working it from below tomorrow morning......

So Pink w/Black jumped to Brown for the 2008? I'm seeing other people saying the black with brown stripe. Maybe a few different wires would work?

I think that might be it, thanks! I was pretty sure I found a ghost part. I ended up just sealing mine from either side with gasket maker, as well as adding some gasket maker around the edge of the cap.

Thanks for the Rock Auto suggestion, I just bought a SKF replacement from NAPA, Rock Auto has them at less than half the NAPA price. I'm going to retrun the NAPA and get 2 from Rock Auto

Old thread revival! I'm getting this too, low speed rumble strip noise feeling when slightly turning. 2WD Limited 4Runner. Sounds and feels like the tires rubbing but I cannot find any evidence of this actually happening.

What are the requirements for an ODBII to reset the TPMS tire pressure sensors? Thinking of getting new sensors and they say use a ODB device to reset the connection to the car. I'm guessing the cheap sub $20 won't work, or maybe they do? Any one have any experience with this? thanks!

I'm pondering the same thing, but I' more concerned about the valve stem part. They are original on my 08, could get a new set on amazon for under $50 but I'd have to re-program. I guess the question is, do the stems need to be replaced with any regularity or should I just do the battery swap...

I installed a Delco belt and it's failing after about a month's use. I heard some knocking from the engine and it was a piece of the edge of the belt that has separated. The old one was fine, had ~160,000 miles on it so I figured a new one would be safer. Did I just get a bad belt? Should I...

I just did the proceedure on mine. I used a paperclip as a jumper for the temp check, added an inline filter too. It felt like it was shifting better instantly, I could tell the difference pulling out of the driveway.

Its not going into gear or anything, just letting the pump run for a few seconds at a time and replacing that amount.

They gave me a brand new air filter and a card for a free oil change. I think that HC filter saved my arse. I had just driven on some dirt roads, which I rarely do, right before I found the missing filter.

Thanks. That explains it, just wanted to make sure I was seeing the right thing before go in there and demand a new air filter. Good news is at least there was some kind of filter, bad news is they DID screw up and I drove for a couple weeks with out the main filter.
