Looking to revive this old post. My power locks w/ the FOB didn't work (yes i repacked the battery), rear defrost didn't work, rear window did not open/close and the wiper was out of commission as well. Had an issue with the alarm going off, and the doors refusing to stay locked, kept going back...

So I did the same exact thing. Symptoms were key FOB stopped working, rear wipers and defrost didn't work. Even had the alarm going off by itself and eventually the doors unlocking constantly. Replaced the rear latch, everything back to normal. After a little while the key FOB won't work again...

I'm having the same issue, the rod slides to the drivers size, but the wire down the latch does not move.

can you describe now to get into the boot to see the wires? Sorry new guy here and I'm having the same issue. Thanks!

interested as well, I have no lights on, but experience the mechanical buzzing sounds with start-up in the colder temps. Pumping brakes seems to shorten the time of the sound, and can sort of feel the buzz in the brakes when depressing the pedal.

Did you use 22 or 20 gauge wire for this then?

I couldn't see up into the access hole where the line feeds through from the inside for the life of me. Not sure how you managed to get a screwdriver in there but I'll give it another go!

Do you have to remove the back door glass run and weatherstrip to access the clips?

First 4Runner owner here, 2001 from a single owner in Arizona that relocated to Michigan. 256k, so many and replacement projects in the future for this beginner. Anyone remove the rear washer nozzle? Is it twist and pull or are there clips that must be accessed by removing the window, run...

Tips on how to remove the rear washer nozzle? Can't seem to figure it out without causing damage. Is it a twist and out, or are there clips that I can't see within the door frame? Thanks!
