Sorry to drag this old thread up, but I am about 99% sure it is a bad trans mount. It can be seen moving quite a bit. I have had the same issue on both my 4 runners and both had sloppy trans mounts. Sometimes my Shifter actually moves when the clunk happens and everything settles. Look into it...

Looking to sell the factory CD changer from my 97 Limited, it holds 6 discs, will come with the cable needed to hook it up. I don't use it and don't like it in the rear cargo area. Looking to get $50 for it, if that is fair.

Here in Utah something like that would bring close to that $8700 Book you listed... Heck I've seen them listed higher than that with higher miles. Wish I could buy it, it is my trucks twin, other than I have 205K and plenty of rust! :dammit:
