Newbie with very first 4 Runner

Hey guys, Just picked up my first 4 Runner, I have owned well over 30 cars but this is my first Toyota finally. It's a 97 Limited, 205k miles, white with the grey bottom, E locker, sunroof, and all the goodies. Even has a factory 6 disc CD changer (had no idea that was available in 97)

My brother owns the identical rig but a 2000 2 wheel, his just rolled over 325k!

I'm planning to dress this up and use it as a daily driver and tow rig for my business trailer.

Welcome! 30 cars...that's crazy! How old are you, 75? Geez. I'm only 20, and I've gone through two (including the one I have now) cars so far!


For your 4R though, since it is a '97 - it falls under 3rd gen. catergory so if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to post there! Otherwise, welcome to the forum & hopefully you'll find this website to be useful for your mod projects!

Welcome, 97 Limited! I've ran through a few vehicles myself--21 4-wheeled, 4 motorcycles as of my 48th b-day. That's a beautiful state you live in--my particular favorite area being around Moab. Enjoy the forum!

I am only 28.... lol.

I am on my 6th or 7th motorcycle as well.

Here is a pic of the runner. Liking it so far, just wish it ran like my V6 Maxima or Pathfinder, this thing is Gutless!! Did my own mod to the intake system today, will be doing some tune up and maintenance stuff over the next few days as well as new wheels and tires.
