thats true... yea it was an empty road at a stoplight, I started the timer, hit the gas and stopped it when I reached 60. 4 seconds still steems like a pretty big difference though.

I've got a 97 4runner with the 4 cylinder engine and 106k miles on it. I've always thought it was slow, but didn't think anything of it till I looked up how fast it was supposed to be- 0 to 60 in 9.2 secs. I tried it and it took about 13 secs to get up to 60. Its getting normal gas mileage...
