You are the first one I have heard of having a problem with that low of miles on a toyota motor. They are very good motors and will run for ever. Who ever you bought the car from must have known it was a problem. Best of luck fixing it.

Use the Silverstar Bulbs. Whiter and brighter, it produces a clearer light of the standard yellowish tint. You can pick them up at any auto store and also should be able to get them at walmart.

I used the silverstar bulbs with mine, it looks clean with no orange tent when off, put flashes orange when using the turn signal.

are yo talking about the lever switch on the outside of the light (marked on, off, door) or did you remove the light and adjust it on the underside of the light after removing it? Thank you

How hard is it to access the plugs? Is it as hard to get at as the oil filter?

My rear cargo light works when you turn it to the on postion but it will not turn on when the door is open. Has anyone ever had to fix this. Can you tell me where the sensor switch is for the door? I am gussing it is just stuck or something. Thanks 1997 T4R limited

the only way you will get "factory" paint is to go to a local toyota dealer and pay big bucks for your paint. More than likely they will not be able to get a spray can anyway. Repairs shops dont's use factory paint.

I would not get any service at the dealer or "stealership" they will charge you way more than it should cost. Check around and find a good local shop that people recomend. It will cost a lot less this way. I would stay away from Midas Amoco those kinds of places charge to much also.

AMSOil blocks more dirt plus it is about $35.00 instead of 60. for the K&N filter. Check out the AMSOil site they have more info and a chart on the the site.

I bought my 97 Limited in Oct. 2004 w/ 50,000 miles on it. No damage. Vehicle was spotless inside and out, and yes it had the diff lock. I paid $14,999 for mine. However in my area that was a fair price I found some 98-99 that were around $20,000. with less options and not as clean.
