question: when i was testing the 4WD switch i noticed what looked to be a drain/fill plug next to the 4Lo switch on the TC. Is there supposed to be anything there like a sensor or switch. I ask because it seems odd to me.

sorry, so when im in 4Hi there is no vacuum going to the diff but the VSV's are receiving vacuum from the intake manifold. When i shift into 4Lo the blue VSV sends vacuum down to the diff engaging the hubs but not for 4Hi. Im guessing that the blue VSV engages the hubs and the Redish brown one...

I just bought a rear air deflector for my 97 runner and was wondering how to install it. my runner never came with one, so any help is greatly appreciated.
well i think it has to do with the ADD system now since i just tried to turn the front drive line when i put the shifter into 4HI and it didn't turn. Now im confused, is there a different vacuum system for each position ie; 2HI, 4HI, and 4LO ?

Hi im new to 4runners, i just traded my taco for my 97 SR5 4runner w/ 5-speed and V6. The problem is 4Lo engages fine but 4Hi wont engage at all. I hear the relay clicking but the 4x4 light doesn't come on for either position. Can some please help, thanks
