New to 4th Gen... Need parts advice... Front CV Axles & Hub..

Just did passenger side today. Will do other side sometime this week as it's cracking and spewing a lil bit too now. Went with napa's again. Only inners.. Outer boots are still fine. 31219B are the numbers on the inner end of the axle. NACHI bearing numbers on tripod are 03C10. Dunno if that...

Nope. Never found out how to tell OEM from others. But passenger side inner Napa boot gave out, is torn and flinging grease so gotta reboot again. Axles still good. Lol.

Vibration Issue - Please help Diagnose

Did you ever figure it out? Oh with same issue. Think rpm and load sensitive.. Heavy acceleration or steep hills increase the sound and buzzing feeling.

Coolant... How do i go back to Red from Green??

So.. If i want to keep the mix a 50/50 blend; I guess i need to try draining the engine of coolant too. Anyone know where these drain points are? Don't think any of the vids i saw showed them on 4th gen v6 4Runner. Any tips?

Coolant... How do i go back to Red from Green??

Hm... I was under the impression the 3rd gens used the Red stuff that needed mixing and the 4th gens used the 50/50 Pink. I ordered 2 of the Zerex Asian Red 50/50 because i read it's as good as and compatible with both Red and Pink Toyota coolants. Am i wrong on any of this?

Coolant... How do i go back to Red from Green??

Thanks brothers. Been looking at vids and the distilled water and run with heat on full to get it thru the whole system then drain a few times. Some mention drains on engine block.. Some rather not mess with them. Is there a way to completely drain without removing block drains? I ask because if...

Coolant... How do i go back to Red from Green??

Hey brothers, our 04 v6 sr5 4Runner has been with us for about a month now. Still keeping the 98 2wd sr5 4Runner. Anyways; working on things little by little. Just finished re-booting inner axles and replacing driver side hub/bearing assy. This thread is about the radiator. The problems: 1-...

New to 4th Gen... Need parts advice... Front CV Axles & Hub..

Just an update. I put the new hub/bearing assy on the driver side and rebooted both front inner axles with the napa boots. I just don't have the funds right now for new ones and since i'm unsure if oem and they haven't made noise and i already had boots.. Figured i'd save the debt. Lol. Anyone...

    Caliper hitting 6 star 17" rim ??? Rim swap 5 star 17" to 6 atar 17"

Just an update. Measured the calipers on both sides and pass side is indeed wider. Had both unbolted while doing axle re-booting and driver hub/bearing assy.. and figured i'd check again from the rotor side. I'll keep it as is til i can afford the extra few bucks to replace caliper.

    Caliper hitting 6 star 17" rim ??? Rim swap 5 star 17" to 6 atar 17"

I have a spare 6 star like the one hitting, i put it on and it hit too. Must bevthe caliper then. Don't know what it's from but guess not supposed to be on the 4runner. Everything seems tight on pass side.. So i'll see if i can het another caliper and see if it clears. If not.. I'll return...

    Caliper hitting 6 star 17" rim ??? Rim swap 5 star 17" to 6 atar 17"

I thought about how caliper is centered on rotor too and looks fine on both sides.. But maybe that changes when the lug nuts are tightened? I'll have to put the lug nuts on without wheel just to press the rotor onto hub and see if it changes it's location between brake pads. Like i said.. The...
