That was my experience as well....kept it for a couple of years but just couldn't get over those issues. Ended up trading on an '18 T4R OR.
I wish that Toyota would have carried the gauge cluster from the Taco over to the 4runner.
Same boat....I just traded a '16 Tacoma TRDOR for an '18 4Runner TRDOR. Just got tired of the wanky engine/tranny issues.
The 4runner was soooo much smoother but my only gripe is the center display and nav screen. The Tacoma wins in that department hands down. Why cant toyota just port that...
I have an 08 SE 4x4 with the V8. I am getting ready to do a mild lift and some bigger tires and want to know if anybody has done any brake upgrade at the same time.
