Check out this thread, most people that have installed these are pleased with them. I have them w/amplifier and OEM HU, but they were still a huge improvement with stock HU power. Focal IS 690TOY Front Speakers Designed for Toyota I personally would not recommend paying $300 to have them...

That's fair -- no offense intended, hoped the homer would help with that. You mentioned, twice, that it looked like the clear coat was failing, and implied (by asking about warranty) that it would be a manufacturer defect. From that, it did sound like you thought it happened on its own. IMO...

So, you're saying that concentrated area of circular scratches (swirls) just happened by itself? And the rest of the paint on the hood all around it is untouched, except for the spot of swirls right beside it going in the opposite direction? maybe a stray cat doing one of these...

These shouldn't require any "wheel cleaner" products, just a regular mild car wash soap, sponge, and maybe some smaller sponge/towel to "floss" grime out of the holes. There isn't a crazy amount of brake dust coming off of our 4runners to require anything more. I've had mine through limerock...
